Sales and Marketing. Totally different disciplines, mindsets, skill-sets and personality types. Despite this, the two are frequently combined into one department or one person, usually with a bias towards one of the two disciplines, and often at the expense of the other.

IJMS are Sales Specialists, but we know when the marketing’s not right. The first clue is when the sales won’t ´go´. Even when the salespeople, training and motivation are all in place.

No enquiries, no sales appointments or appointments with the wrong client with the wrong product and information are all a dead giveaway that the marketing’s not working. It could be that there’s no professional marketing function, or that the communication between sales and marketing’s not what it could be.

Lead generation, referrals, target marketing, website, above the line and below the line advertising all fall under the umbrella of marketing solutions.
